Help us give Panda a chance to lead a normal life painfree

This is Panda. He is a seven year old border collie/shih tzu cross.who has been through a lot in his short life...and is sadly about to go through more.

At 2.5yrs old Panda had an autoimmune disease of his central nervous system and as a result of treatment, he ended up with a degenerative joint disease in his right hip. Two years ago Panda had femoral head ostectomy surgery to allow him to be pain free. He was doing well, but got struck by another autoimmune disease - this time in his skin called eyrethema multiforme. This took a year to cure with two surgeries and dressing. After this he was finally able to lead a normal life - running around playing with his ball and brother. A month ago he became lame. Xrays discovered a spur on the right femur which requires surgery to remove it so he can be pain free and enjoying life again

Panda and my BC Trick are my best friends and my therapy. I suffer from very painful arthritis and as a result am unable to work. Panda and Trick give me a reason to force myself to try and keep mobile.

I am very fortunate to have a great vet who I trust to do the right thing by Panda. However because I am on a benefit, paying for Panda's surgery is a huge struggle for me. I will do anything to make sure he continues to have a comfortable life - having nearly lost him more than once Panda and Trick are very important part of my life Trick who also has a congenital deformity and arthritis so they are both my world we have been through so much.
