Help us help a dog we helped

We have taken in a rescue dog 1 week ago and she is doing really well. We took her to the vet today because we are concerned about a lump above/ on her eyelid. They advised that it will need to be surgically removed and most likely she will lose her eye too. $2k for the local GP vet to do it and no hope of saving the eye. Twice the price for specialist vet surgeon in Nelson or Christchurch who might be able to save the eye and less facial disfigurement.

This is an unexpected cost but we need to get it done to ensure she is comfortable. The lump is getting larger by the day. If you can, any little bit you can give is much appreciated please.
