We’re a queer couple from Uruguay who found a true home in Christchurch, New Zealand. This city and its amazing community, especially our queer family, have become central to our lives. But now, we're facing an urgent situation and need your help to stay here.

We moved to New Zealand to escape the economic struggles and social constraints in Uruguay, seeking a place where we could truly thrive. Here, we discovered not just a new home but a supportive and vibrant community that welcomed us with open arms.

However, due to unforeseen delays and financial constraints, our visa renewal process hit obstacles. We’re currently without legal status to work and unemployed we can’t access essential resources. Our savings are gone, and we face the very real possibility of leaving the country we now call home.

We’ve started a small bread-making business called Stellar Crust to support ourselves, but we need immediate financial assistance to cover living expenses, legal fees, and other essential costs. Your donation, no matter how small, will help us stay afloat during this difficult time.
