Logline:

In the 18th-Century, Tahi, a young Maori future Chief desires to journey but his father Chief Hikuraia insists he remains in the lands of his impending Chieftainship, however, an opportunity arises and Tahi stows away on a merchant ship to France where he falls in love with a ship merchant's daughter only to have obstacles hurled his way as he tries to return home.
