After laying her to rest we applied for a funeral grant thinking surely we should be able to get help from MSD. as we would be getting childcare subsidy! Nope "Sorry you do not meet our criteria"
After 4 months of emails between myself, my local MP and the minister of social development the answer is still sorry we cant help you.
to fill you in on what MSD's criteria for a couple in a marriage, civil union or de facto relationship (with or without children) is ...... $42,700.32 doing the math that works out to just under 25 hours per parent a week at minimum wage! what a joke!!!!
So please help us where our own government wont.
Use of funds
The funds will be used to help pay for Lilly's funeral cost
If we go over all extra will be donated back to "Angel casts" who have helped us!
