Help Us Print NZ’s First Surgical Menopause Booklet

$735 of $7,500 goal
Given by 9 generous donors in around 9 months

Fund the printing and distribution of surgical menopause booklets so patients can access them in healthcare settings.

Nationwide

Surgical menopause happens when a woman’s ovaries are removed, often due to cancer risk, endometriosis, or other serious conditions. The hormonal change is immediate, and the physical, emotional, and mental impact can be overwhelming.

In Aotearoa, there’s currently no dedicated printed information for women going through this life-changing experience. Many are left unsupported when they need clarity and care the most. We’re working to change that.

Surgical Menopause New Zealand Trust, a small, woman-led charity, has created the first surgical menopause booklet in Aotearoa. It's clear, supportive, evidence-based and grounded in lived experience - the resource we wish we’d been given ourselves.

Your donation helps:

- Print and distribute booklets to clinics and hospitals so patients can access this vital information

- Ensure women have a tangible, high-quality resource when navigating surgical menopause

- Any extra donations will support other printed materials or help cover day-to-day running costs

Every donation helps make surgical menopause more visible and understood, helping women feel seen and better equipped to manage their health.

Donate now to help us reach every patient who needs this resource. Thank you!

Final update: Thank you  25 April 2026

Our Givealittle campaign has now closed. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and supported this project.

Together, we raised $735 toward printing New Zealand’s first surgical menopause booklet.

While we didn’t reach our full goal, these funds will still allow us to print and distribute copies to healthcare settings, ensuring patients can access clear, supportive information when they need it most.

We’re incredibly grateful for your support. This is a small but important step toward making surgical menopause more visible and better understood in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Ngā mihi nui,

Surgical Menopause New Zealand Trust

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
