Help us renovate Kaurihohore Hall’s outdated kitchen! We need $10,000 to complete the job—every contribution makes a difference!
Kauri, Northland
For 30 years, the kitchen at Kaurihohore Public Hall has served our community, but time has taken its toll. It’s outdated, impractical, and in desperate need of a transformation.
Thanks to the generosity of the Lotteries Commission, we’ve secured a $30,000 grant to begin the renovation—but we still need $10,000 to complete the job, covering demolition, electrics, plumbing, and painting.
We’re proud to have local tradespeople ready to bring this space back to life, ensuring the hall continues to be a welcoming hub for gatherings, events, and celebrations.
Every contribution makes a difference! Whether big or small, your support helps us create a kitchen that meets the needs of our community for years to come.
Join us in making this vision a reality—thank you for being a part of the Kaurihohore Public Hall’s future!
All funds will go towards completing the renovation of our Community Hall serving the Kauri and wider Whangārei communities.
Project Completion 6 August 2025
Thank you for your support. The project is now complete - although we are still looking for donations to cover the cost
The Kaurihohore Public Hall Committee would like to give a massive thank you to the amazing local tradespeople who helped bring our kitchen renovation project to life! 🙌
From stripping out the old cabinets and sink, pulling down walls, rewiring and replumbing, to painting and manufacturing and installing beautiful new cabinetry and benchtops — this was a full team effort and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
