A heartfelt space to honour our mum’s journey with end-stage liver disease and seek support as we prepare for her final farewell.
Taupo, Waikato
Our beautiful mum has been fighting a long and painful battle with end-stage cirrhosis of the liver. This journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking. What began as small signs of unwellness slowly turned into a series of hospital admissions, endless blood tests, infections, and long nights of fear and uncertainty. Over time, her body grew tired. The woman who once carried us with strength and grace is now frail, in pain, and nearing the end of her time here with us.
Time has become something uncertain with Mum. We no longer measure it in days or weeks. we measure it in moments. A small smile, the squeeze of a hand, the sound of her breath. Each moment feels like a lifetime, and yet it's never enough. We don’t know how much time we have left. just that every second is precious. This journey is heartbreaking, but we walk it with her, step by step, soaking in what time we have left.
Through it all, Mum has held onto her dignity, her faith, and her deep love for her family. Her strength has carried us, even as hers fades. She is the heart of our whānau the one who held us all together.
We are now reaching out with humble hearts to ask for support as we prepare for the inevitable. The costs of her final care and funeral are overwhelming, and we want to honour her with the dignity she deserves. Every koha, every kind word, every share helps. Thank you for walking beside us through this heartbreaking time. ❤️
I am her Daughter.
All koha will go toward Mum’s funeral costs, final arrangements, and supporting our whānau during this time. Coffin, cremation expenses, service costs, and helping cover day-to-day needs.
