NEW SANCTUARY UPDATE
13 September 2025Goodness! I've just realised that we've published heaps of updates via Facebook, but none here with you. My apologies.
So, we purchased 63 hectares in April. It's a stunning but very remote property. Part pasture for the animals, and part native bush for the birds. Beautiful, but bare land. We immediately started setting up all the infrastructure: roading, fencing, water lines, troughs, electric fences, gates, hay storage, etc etc. We took a loan for the property purchase, so your donations go 100% for all the projects to make the sanctuary safe for animals. It's overwhelming, but we focus on one project at a time. Almost immediately, the animals started coming!! We currently have 20 rescued cows, 3 pigs, 6 sheep, groups of hens and ducks. They know they're safe now, and it touches our hearts to see them settle in and build confidence. We still have a looong way to go, and it's incredibly hard work, but when we see the animals happy and relaxed, it's all worth it. Our next project will be the hospital yard and barn... Thank you to everyone who helped us get this far!
