Last week, Andrew’s mother was admitted to Auckland Hospital with critically low platelet levels. She has always been healthy and has been enjoying her visit to New Zealand since November 2025, so this has been an unexpected and stressful time for the family

Seeing her now, struggling without clear answers, has been incredibly hard. Doctors are still unable to confirm a diagnosis, though an autoimmune condition is one possibility. She has undergone countless tests, scans, and is currently trialing medication in hopes of stabilising her condition.

Because she does not have travel insurance, the financial burden has added even more stress to an already overwhelming situation. The family is doing everything they can, but they cannot face this alone.

If you are able to contribute, even the smallest donation will mean the world. Your kindness will help lighten the heavy financial and emotional load Andrew and his family are carrying right now. Every dollar is a gesture of hope — and a reminder that they are not facing this alone.

We have known Andrew and Ana for a few years, they are part of LIFE Church. We together actively volunteering at church, and do life together through Connect Group.

Use of funds

Funds will cover the costs of:

• Hospital care $2,000 per day, with a minimum 10 day stay

• Medication- estimated to reach around $5,000

• Travel back home: once she is stable enough, she will need to return to Russia for continued care

Dear Friends,

Our Givealittle page has now closed, and we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Because of your generosity we are able to put these funds towards our mum's hospital bills and the many expenses that come with her treatment and care. During such a stressful and emotional time, your support has lifted a huge weight off our shoulders.
