  • ACC cant provide ongoing assistance

    Hi everyone, we have just found out that due to Sharon not working (as she was only 15), ACC cannot provide any ongoing financial support for this family for lost wages as they try to navigate their grief, and as you can imagine, returning to work is not really a viable option for Carmine right now, so they have asked that we keep this page open for a bit longer.

    ACC did provide some financial support for Sharons funeral costs, which was greatly appreciated.

    Just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU! thank you to everyone who has donated! These funds are going to provide so much help for this family moving forward, with whatever that means for them. It means SO MUCH to this family to know that basically the whole of NZ has wrapped their arms around them in support. It has been noticed, and is so, so appreciated - much more than any of us will ever know.

  • Sharon has been identified

    As you may have seen, Sharon's remains have now been identitifed after an agonising wait.

    I wanted to first say THANK YOU! To everyone who has donated and shared this page. The support has genuinely been overwhelming and so heart-warming. The funds that have been raised so far are going to be much needed for what comes next for the family. Thanks to you all, they can take the time they need to move through their grief, without the added pressure of worrying about finances.

    Now that Sharon has been identified, the first step has been completed in what is going to be a very long road for both Carmine and Natalia, but can hopefully bring some closure to them over time and they can start trying to heal.

    Rest in peace beautiful girl. You will be so missed by so many. 💜
