PLEASE help our whanau lay Kathy to rest properly despite the circumstances, and gain some closure and say our goodbye properly!

Our Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Sister, Aunty Kathleen (Kathy, Kath, Kaz) Te Kauru passed away on the 9th of February . After many long tough years of battle against cancer which she fought for many many years, cirrhosis of the liver is what took her from us. Due to unforeseen circumstances Kathy had to be cremated, Kathy had a closed casket which didnt give our family(her children,grandchildren,nieces,sisters,brother,mother,or friends) a chance to say goodbye let alone one last kiss or hug with Aunty Kath. due to this Kathy was then cremated instead of the traditional Maori burial at our whenua, Te Arawa/Tuwharetoa Te Toke, which was her wish when she passed away.
This page is to reach out to our family and friends and any other lovely person near and far, who are willing to help us fundraise to take Kathy home and give her the funeral she deserves. Any support is appreciated.

Kathy is a Mother, Daughter, Grand-Mother, Sister and Aunty to us, the day she left us left a hole in our family and our hearts. We want to make sure she rests easy with the rest of our whanau back home in our family cemetary.
Use of funds
The money raised will be used for headstone, transporting Kathy from Auckland to Te Toke and all costs assosiated with Kathys burial.
