$750 of $10,000 goal
Given by 19 generous donors in 7 weeks

Vanni has been working far from his family for 2.5 years and on his visit home he was diagnosed with cancer.

Auckland

Geovanni Cabahlin has been working in Auckland for the last 2.5 years, working to place steel on different sites. He is one of the key members of Placing Team and very reliable worker.

Once he felt himself unwell. He took several days of leave trying to have rest. But the pain in his stomach became worse. He decided to take his annual leave and come back home, to Philippines to have a rest and get treatment.

Unfortunately he was diagnosed with cancer - ESOPHAGEL ADENOCARCINOMA.

Now he should receive chemotherapy treatment for 6 months. Vanni can't work and support his big family, his wife and three children.

All funds raised will go towards supporting Geovanni's family in this hard time while he gets his treatment and can't work.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
