Help Verity to raise funds to represent NZ in "World Championships of Performing Arts" in America in July 2019

Verity Howells is a fifteen year old girl from the Waikato with a big dream an amazing work ethic and heaps of talent. She auditioned for, and has been selected to be a member of the official NZ team at the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in California in July 2019.

Verity is a successful singer and has performed in many large event, both in the Waikato, and further afield over the North Island. This year she was selected by Variety Kids as a Gold Heart Scholarship recipient for her singing, and has volunteered her skills to the charity by performing at their annual fundraiser, Variety of Chefs held at Sky City, Auckland.this is only one of many charity events she supports, having shared her talents on the stage as an entertainer for Special Children's Christmas Parties for the past five years. This year Verity will also perform as a soloist at Coca Cola Christmas in the Park, in Auckland.

Currently, Verity is recording her original songs at a local recording studio - De Stylz Studio Mix- and will be taking some of these original songs to the WCOPA competition.

In addition to singing, Verity is an accomplished actress, in the past year she has had roles in several musical theatre productions for Morrinsville Theatre, and works devising productions to perform with Hamilton's Small Dynamite Theatre Company. She is working closely with Small Dynamite's writer and director, to perfect her skills for the acting competitions also.

Verity would very much appreciate any financial support to raise funds for this amazing opportunity and is happy to discuss singing at functions, events or festivals, in order to raise money to fulfil her dreams.

We are hoping for enough money to cover the costs of the competition, travel, accommodation, costumes, and any other costs as the only way she can attend is if we raise enough money. As a minor, Verity will legally need to be accompanied so we are also raising enough money for me to accompany her and assist her through the competition process.

Verity is genuinely talented. she believes in putting in 100% to what she does and spends hours every week practicing and perfecting her performances so if you can help we would be extremely grateful.
