After 9 weeks in hospital, I was discharged last Thursday to home. It's amazing to be back with my family, however its a huge adjustment that we are all working through and only the beginning of the next part of my journey.

I would like to express how grateful we all are, I am blown away by the generosity of family and all of our community friends and all you who have made a donation on give a little. This support means so much to us, and will help in renovating the bathroom and a ramp to the front door, to allow for life in a wheelchair while I wait for my leg to heal fully so we can begin the prosthetic process.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, it takes a huge weight off and truly helps our family so much.

    Sending love to you all.

After 8 weeks in hospital Victoria is being moved to the Rehab ward to finish her adjustment to living in a wheelchair. She has been being seen by a specialist physio nurse, Lisa, an awesome young nurse, who has got Victoria to the stage where she can get herself from bed to wheelchair and back again, while she continues to heal from her Sepsis infection, which seems to be well in remission.

She should complete her Rehab in around two weeks and be home for the next school holidays starting 26th September. She has a way to go yet & starting the process of having prosthetic limb made for her and learning to walk with again.

But all in all she has made remarkable progress and cant wait to be home.

She would like to thank everyone that has shown the overwhelming amount of support both through her amazing community she and Cory live in and the generosity of people via the GiveaLittle Page. She sends you all her heartfelt love and thank you and hopes to see you all in the not too distant future.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe
