    Last and final update for Vin.

    In true Vin style, he has defined all odds and is now home in Napier, where he will continue his recovery.

    At the start we weren’t sure how this would all play out & of course expected the worse but Vin is a survivor & a fighter and is obviously very determined to be here which we are truly grateful for

    Thank you from Vin, Bex and the rest of our whānau for all of your messages and donations - it has eased the burden as it was intended to.

  • Vin is coming back to NZ💙

    Another update on behalf of the whānau:

    Vin has made huge progress in his recovery 🙌🏼

    He has started rehabilitation in Brisbane and will look at transferring via SkyMed to Wellington Hospital where he will continue his rehabilitation. The cost for the Sky med team to transfer him is a significant amount of money, so we appreciate it if you can continue to share the page so we can raise enough to get him back to his homeland.

    This still means travel for Becky and the girls as they live 4 1/2hrs away from where Vin will be based for who knows how long and obviously with ongoing expenses while both Vin and Becky are off work.

    He still has a massive amount of rehabilitation to go and this will likely last a wee while.

  • Update on Vin’s condition

    Just thought I’d provide an update.

    Vinnie is out of ICU, is conscious and is currently in the ward where he will remain until further notice. At this time he is recovering, healing & will continue to do his rehabilitation in Brisbane Hospital.

    From our whānau to yours, thank you all SO MUCH for the koha & messages received. I’ve read them all. Ka Nui te Aroha ❤️💚💛
