Our statements are in and we have $12,000 vet bills plus $700 for food, microchips and flea/worm
Due to multiple being sick such as flu, lungworm, ringworm, calicivirus or flea burdened./malnourished we had to alot of medication
If you're able to help this month, every dollar counts
lowered amount as we hope to have grant funding in a couple of months to help with desexing costs
Rescue work is not easy ❤️🩹💔 A horrific rescue in Penrose industrial site where people had been leaving out rat bait to get rid of their feline inhabitants.
😡 THIS IS NOT OKAY and only leads to a terrible death full of suffering ‼️
We, and other cat rescues, will help to TNR, which stands for TRAP, NEUTER, and release where appropriate or rehome.
📣 This is the humane way!
📣 Desexing is the key to reducing breeding and over-population!
📣 Humans created this problems, not the cats - we trapped 17 so far who are not at all wild so we suspect they dumped there at some point 😡
Help us continue our rescue work by donating towards our growing vet bill alongside other costs such as food, flea treatments and litter.

These kittens are available to be named and sponsored too, send us a message
Animal rescue is tough work! It’s not a rosy world where we swooping in to pick up cute fluffy kittens and all is fine. We find absolute joy in rehoming stray or abandoned cats and kittens, but rescue work also involves grit, disappointment and sadness!
And 2023 has already made our hearts break ❤️🩹
Recently we had taken in a pregnant mum cat we named Fran. She gave birth while in our care and had six gorgeous babies. Though she was a little hissy, she allowed pats and for us to handle and weigh her babies.
Unfortunately, Fran passed away suddenly one day along with one of her babies. We discovered she had died from Feline panleukopenia virus (FPV). The virus does not infect people, but infects and kills cells that are rapidly growing and dividing in cats, such as in bone marrow, intestines, and the developing fetus. A terrible death where the symptoms are not as obvious in stray cats, especially one who had just given birth!
Fran left behind five babies, two of which had to be euthanised at the vets due low chance of survival (and we did not want them to suffer!). The remaining three babies were bottled fed and monitored. However, they started to deteriorate and develop further neurological symptoms, a touch battle to overcome at 2 weeks old so also have crossed over rainbow bridge.
Rest in peace and love Fran and her babies.
We cannot do this work without donations from amazing supporters - please help us continue to rescue and care for cats we rescue by donating to our current vet bills - currently over $10k.
