Wendy has been broadly diagnosed with Cerebella Ataxia.
Bay of Plenty
Wendy has been suffering with symptoms for 2 years now, finally in September 2018 after being admitted to hospital a broad diagnosis of cerebella ataxia was reached. This is a neurological condition, cause unknown, and currently the doctors are grasping at straws at what to do for treatment.
Having seen a number of GP's, nuerologists (MRI's, CT's, ECG's and blood tests) we've found that Wendy has to drive this herself to get action.
Wendy has found a clinic in Auckland, with links to an American Organisation (Cell Surgical Network, https://stemcellrevolution.com/) who are able to provide stem cell therapy prior to Christmas 2018. This comes at a cost of $10,000 and no guarantee of results, however if there is a chance of this working then it'll be worth it, and there's only one way to find out. To proceed we're seeking anyone that would like to help, any donation will be greatly appreciated.
I am Wendy's daughter, I have seen Mum's condition get significantly worse over the last couple of months, and I would like nothing more than her to have a chance at some comfort and quality of life
Funds raised will be gratefully used to financially assist with stem cell therapy (including travel and recovery)
Update: Delayed stem cells therapy next week 11 January 2019
Thank you all so much for your donations, I’m blown away with everyone’s generosity and kindness from near and far. I don’t know how we can thank you properly.
Unfortunately Mum was admitted to hospital on 9 December with a blood clot, and so due to being on blood thinner medication was unable to go through with the stem cell treatment in December.
Fortunately this has been re-booked for next Thursday 17 December. Hopefully we’ll be able to update you with good news after this.
I hope you’re all enjoying a lovely summer, stay safe out there
