From film school to Sweden — help me represent Firstborn at an international film festival.

Starting this Givealittle page is honestly a little scary for me, however this opportunity feels like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be bold, back myself, and take a leap toward something I’ve worked incredibly hard for. If you know my story, you’ll know the challenges I’ve faced to get here. Because of that, I’m incredibly proud of where I am now and the opportunities opening up in my life.

I’ve recently completed my studies in Film and Television Production. For my final project, I produced a short film called Firstborn, written and directed by Veisinia Moalapau’u. Thanks to the passion and dedication of our director and team, it became something truly special.

Since its completion, Firstborn has been selected for multiple international film festivals. Winning Audience Choice Award at the N.I.F.F in Philadelphia and recieving an Honorable Mention at the S.C.F.F. Now, Firstborn has officially been selected for the Swedish International Film Festival, and the amazing women behind the film have the opportunity to attend and represent Firstborn in person.

I’m reaching out to my family, friends, and wider community for support in helping make this trip possible. As a team of passionate and creative women, this opportunity means so much to us as filmmakers and storytellers now being recognised on an international stage.
