Help Will Get to Berklee College Of Music

Hi, I’m Will Luhrs — an 18-year-old singer, songwriter, and performer from New Zealand whose ambitions you can make a reality.

In my last year of high school at 17, I was accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston — one of the top contemporary music schools in the world. Berklee has helped shape artists like John Mayer, Charlie Puth, and Esperanza Spalding, and I’m ready to help take young NZ music to that community.

After graduating from Burnside High School in Christchurch, I moved to Auckland to pursue music full-time. Recently I’ve performed as a solo vocalist at Christmas in the Park (Cover image is of that), Auckland, received my high school’s top musicianship award, completed my Trinity vocal grades, and regularly sing with bands across the country. Right now, I’m based in Auckland, gigging weekly & working as a music teacher, with plans to release my first professional recordings before I go.

Despite the scholarship that I was given, I still need to raise around $60,000 NZD to cover housing, remaining tuition, visa costs, and travel expenses.

I know times are tough, and asking for help isn’t easy - but I’m putting everything I have into this dream, and I want to at least give it a shot. If I can't raise the funds I will still try and take out a few loans, and if I'm alot short then I will make sure the money is returned.
