    Container #6

    Dear friends

It is only thanks to your efforts and generosity five previous containers with hospital equipment, wheelchairs, thermal underwear, clothing, children toys reached people in Ukraine and have been distributed by our partners among hospitals and the neediest Ukrainians. The most brutal war in Ukraine keeps turning its deadly wheels, killing, injuring, leaving people of all ages without place to live, food, possession. They must rely on someone like you and me to help them survive one more winter, and God knows how many winters and summers it may take.

So now the united Ukrainian communities of New Zealand are preparing the sixth container to be sent to Ukraine, and we need your help again. Wheelchairs, other medical equipment, thermal underwear, children’s toys are being dispatched by volunteers in their own cars, trucks and trailers to our Auckland facility, provided to us for free by a local business. But we (again) need money to pay for shipping the container to a European port and from there transport the load to a hub in Odesa.

So please, go to our Givealittle page and contribute as much as you can to the very human cause. Your assistance is greatly appreciated as it will save lives and give hope.

  • Thank you for all participants

      4 August 2024

    Dear friends,

I want to thank to everyone who took part in our container project. Those who donated us medical equipment, thermal underwear, toys, blankets, clothing, and all the good stuff. Those who donated money to the case. Those who gave their time and warmth of their hearts to put all the goods in containers, store them, deliver them.

This journey is not the easiest one. Thousands of kilometers, different hemispheres, hundreds of people involved. But we have it done 4 times so far, and the 5th container is getting ready. I'm sure, there will be more.

We are confident that task can and will be done!

    Together with Ukraine!

I’m in Auckland and would like to help with the next container.

    We are going forward!

The third container, which many of you have recently been helping to pack, is going to Europe. For that we must bring our huge appreciation to the Andrew Bagshaw Memorial Trust, which alone paid for the custom expenses of this delivery. Now we are confident, the wheelchairs are going to reach Ukrainian hospitals and care organizations, and two hundred men and women will be able to move!

So, the funds, collected on this page and donated by the Ukrainian organizations all over New Zealand instead can be directed to pay for the next delivery of medical equipment, combined with the large party of high-quality thermal underwear, made by a Christchurch company Weft Knitting Company (https://www.weft.co.nz/) for substantially reduced price. Its managing director, Hugh Douglas, does whatever it takes to support Ukrainians, help them to survive and be victorious!

It doesn't mean we can stop. Not at all. Let's push up and get our goal achieved, so we can load and send the next container to help our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.

God bless you for your generosity!

  • Container is loaded. We keep going!

    Dear friends

Yesterday we achieved a significant milestone in our Container project. A 40ft container loaded up to the roof with wheelchairs (we have been able to fit in two hundred of the wheelchairs. That's two hundred individuals who can be mobile now!), walking frames, hospital beds, also countless begs of clothing, children's toys and some other goodies. In days it will be shipped to Ukraine. It would never be possible to get done without your participation. Thank you so much!

Special thanks to the management and employees of Regal Rexnord who took on all the burdens of storing the stuff before it is loaded into container. You are legends, guys!

But the story is not finished yet. Not all equipment we were able to fit into this container. There are more medical stuff waiting to be sent and, the most important, hundreds of thermal underwear sets being specially made for us by a New Zealand manufacturer. It is heavily discounted and with help of generous donors, but we still need additional 6 - 7 thousand dollars to send them to the people in need to survive harsh Ukrainian winter.

Please, keep your donations flow. Every dollar counts. You are amazing!
