Help wounded Ukrainians to live their lives

  • Container #9 is loaded and on its way to Ukraine!

When we loaded the very first container of humanitarian aid to Ukraine back in 2022, we didn’t quite believe there would ever be another one. And yet, last Saturday — the NINTH container was packed and is ready to go.

On one hand, it’s heart-breaking that our homeland still needs help so urgently.

On the other, throughout all these years, we’ve felt that we are not standing aside — that each of us, in our own way, is bringing our shared Victory closer.

If we were to thank everyone who, in one way or another, contributed to the preparation and dispatch of this container, this post would stretch over several pages.

So instead, we simply want to thank all of you — each and every one of you.

From those who purchased the supplies — to those who loaded them on Saturday. From those who gave their time, both during work and after hours, to transport everything — to those who carefully packed each box. From those who arranged for equipment donations — to those who contributed financially or offered storage space.

And a very special THANK YOU to everyone who contributed through our Givealittle page, large or small, you are all true friends of Ukraine.

Without you ALL, eight tonnes of aid collected would not now be on its way to Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!

And we cannot stop now... let's make the 10th container happen SOON. You can be part of this vital mission by making a donation towards the logistics costs. Every dollar helps Ukrainians in Ukraine. 💙💛

  • The 8th Container is half way to Ukraine!

The 8th humanitarian container, loaded in Christchurch on 26 July, is now in Singapore and is expected to arrive in Gdańsk, Poland by the end of October—just in time for winter! From there, our reliable and hardworking volunteers will transport it to Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine.

Ukrainians are eagerly awaiting every bit of aid you helped to send—wheelchairs, medical equipment, generators, merino thermals, warm clothing, and toys—all of it will make a real difference in helping people survive the brutal Ukrainian winter and continue their lives with dignity.

👏 WELL DONE and THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible!

We are also pleased to share that the next container will be leaving Palmerston North very soon. You can be part of this vital mission by making a donation towards the logistics costs. Every dollar helps Ukrainians in Ukraine. 💙💛

  • Beautiful smiles of Ukrainian kids

      24 July 2025

As part of every container sent to Ukraine we send kids toys. When you see kids who are growing up under daily bombing and shelling cuddling a toy and smile, our hearts melt. When kiwi kids who donated their toys recognise their toys in Ukrainian kids' hands and genuinely happy, our hearts melt again. We know every effort to send those containers all the way from New Zealand is worth it.

Enjoy the video and smile together with kids in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Fantastic news, the next container #8 will being loaded in Christchurch this Saturday, 26th July by a wonderful team of volunteers.

Please support by donating to this cause and be part of this amazing project.

Stand with Ukraine and its people.

    Slava Ukraini!

  • 7th Container is in Ukraine, time to ship the 8th one!

It has been exciting couple of weeks as the container #7 made it to its destination on 17th June - Ukraine. Auckland (NZ) - Gdansk (Poland) - Kryvyi Rih (Ukraine)!

It is so nice to start receiving messages of sheer gratitude from volunteers, doctors from hospitals, and most importantly from Ukrainians who need it most, either it is a wheelchair, medical supplies, or warm clothes. They are incredibly grateful, so thank you everyone!

Now it is time to help a wonderful team in Christchurch to ship the container #8. Please support by donating to this cause and be part of this amazing project.

    Slava Ukraine!

  • Brave people of Ukraine need your help more than ever

Time flies... The 7th container loaded in Auckland on 22nd February is about to arrive in Gdansk, Poland and then transported to Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. Thank you everyone, who helped to make this happen.

We cannot stop now, as medical equipment and all other humanitarian aid are needed more than ever. Every wheelchair, every merino thermal, every soft toy helps to survive, provides means to live and recover, and brings smiles to children's faces and so much needed Hope.

This is why this page has been extended, but the core purpose is the same - to help with shipment costs of humanitarian aid to Ukraine donated by generous Kiwis with big hearts. We are pleased to share the news that the next container will be leaving Christchurch this month if there are enough funds to ship it. This is an ongoing project, please continue to support or join us in our journey. Every dollar helps to help Ukrainians in Ukraine.

    Daer friends

Thank you again and again for your generous actions. So far, we managed to send to Ukraine 7 containers with medical equipment, clothes, children's toys and many more. But the war still takes its bloody price. So, we need to continue our efforts and send more help to Ukrainian people.

Thank you so much for your support.

    Container #6

    Dear friends

It is only thanks to your efforts and generosity five previous containers with hospital equipment, wheelchairs, thermal underwear, clothing, children toys reached people in Ukraine and have been distributed by our partners among hospitals and the neediest Ukrainians. The most brutal war in Ukraine keeps turning its deadly wheels, killing, injuring, leaving people of all ages without place to live, food, possession. They must rely on someone like you and me to help them survive one more winter, and God knows how many winters and summers it may take.

So now the united Ukrainian communities of New Zealand are preparing the sixth container to be sent to Ukraine, and we need your help again. Wheelchairs, other medical equipment, thermal underwear, children’s toys are being dispatched by volunteers in their own cars, trucks and trailers to our Auckland facility, provided to us for free by a local business. But we (again) need money to pay for shipping the container to a European port and from there transport the load to a hub in Odesa.

So please, go to our Givealittle page and contribute as much as you can to the very human cause. Your assistance is greatly appreciated as it will save lives and give hope.

  • Thank you for all participants

    Dear friends,

I want to thank to everyone who took part in our container project. Those who donated us medical equipment, thermal underwear, toys, blankets, clothing, and all the good stuff. Those who donated money to the case. Those who gave their time and warmth of their hearts to put all the goods in containers, store them, deliver them.

This journey is not the easiest one. Thousands of kilometers, different hemispheres, hundreds of people involved. But we have it done 4 times so far, and the 5th container is getting ready. I'm sure, there will be more.

We are confident that task can and will be done!

    Together with Ukraine!

    We are going forward!

The third container, which many of you have recently been helping to pack, is going to Europe. For that we must bring our huge appreciation to the Andrew Bagshaw Memorial Trust, which alone paid for the custom expenses of this delivery. Now we are confident, the wheelchairs are going to reach Ukrainian hospitals and care organizations, and two hundred men and women will be able to move!

So, the funds, collected on this page and donated by the Ukrainian organizations all over New Zealand instead can be directed to pay for the next delivery of medical equipment, combined with the large party of high-quality thermal underwear, made by a Christchurch company Weft Knitting Company (https://www.weft.co.nz/) for substantially reduced price. Its managing director, Hugh Douglas, does whatever it takes to support Ukrainians, help them to survive and be victorious!

It doesn't mean we can stop. Not at all. Let's push up and get our goal achieved, so we can load and send the next container to help our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.

God bless you for your generosity!

  • Container is loaded. We keep going!

    Dear friends

Yesterday we achieved a significant milestone in our Container project. A 40ft container loaded up to the roof with wheelchairs (we have been able to fit in two hundred of the wheelchairs. That's two hundred individuals who can be mobile now!), walking frames, hospital beds, also countless begs of clothing, children's toys and some other goodies. In days it will be shipped to Ukraine. It would never be possible to get done without your participation. Thank you so much!

Special thanks to the management and employees of Regal Rexnord who took on all the burdens of storing the stuff before it is loaded into container. You are legends, guys!

But the story is not finished yet. Not all equipment we were able to fit into this container. There are more medical stuff waiting to be sent and, the most important, hundreds of thermal underwear sets being specially made for us by a New Zealand manufacturer. It is heavily discounted and with help of generous donors, but we still need additional 6 - 7 thousand dollars to send them to the people in need to survive harsh Ukrainian winter.

Please, keep your donations flow. Every dollar counts. You are amazing!
