Your donation will cover the shipping costs to transport containers with humanitarian aid, donated by generous Kiwis, from NZ to Ukraine.
Nationwide
Over 3 years Ukrainians have been fighting for their survival. Residential buildings, schools, and hospitals continue to be shelled. Thousands of Ukrainians have been injured, and they require assistance to lead their lives. There is a severe shortage of medical equipment.
Since this 'container' project started 4 years ago, thanks to your support from every corner of NZ, 9 containers of aid have been successfully delivered to Ukraine. The 10th container is about to be shipped from Feilding. The 11th container is being prepared to leave Christchurch. This is a truly amazing NZ wide community project run by volunteers who care about people in Ukraine.
The Ukrainians are so grateful to receive medical equipment from Kiwis - wheelchairs, hospital beds, walking frames, crutches, catheters, dressings, wound drains, adult diapers and other essentials. Beside this, NZ made merino thermals were supplied to the frontline defenders. Your generous donations of clothing, children's toys also warm hearts and bodies of displaced Ukrainians.
Ukrainian Association of New Zealand is reaching out for your help. Your donation will cover the shipping and logistics costs to transport the containers from NZ to Ukraine.
On the ground in Ukraine, a dedicated and trusted group of volunteers will ensure these medical supplies reach the people who urgently require them. Your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by war.
UANZ is a community based, non-profit organisation founded in 2007. We have a network of volunteers and supporters to organise, pack, store and move the donated goods, help with compliance and paperwork for the shipment of containers.
The donations will be spent on cost of delivery the container(s) from New Zealand to Ukraine and purchasing thermal underwear from a local NZ manufacturer. The project promises to be ongoing. It means there may be more containers than one.

Dyakuyu (thank you) for Container 9 27 March 2026
Hello members of Container Movement!
As we prepare to load Container TEN in Feilding, we’d love to share a brief update on Container 9.
It arrived in Kryvyi Rih on 12 January, and the volunteer team SPYS KR has been working tirelessly to distribute aid across regions. This has been under extremely challenging conditions — freezing temperatures of up to -20°C and prolonged blackouts caused by continued attacks on electricity infrastructure. This is why reporting has been a little slower than usual.
Most importantly, the critical aid has reached those who need it most — hospitals, field hospitals, stabilisation units, rest homes, foster homes, and our Defenders on the front line.
Medical supplies are always in high demand, along with wheelchairs, medical beds, and adult disposable nappies. The delivery of thermal clothing, sleeping bags, and electrical tools was especially timely and made an immediate difference at the front line.
Back in NZ, our team has been busy preparing Container TEN. The Feilding team organised wheelchairs, while the Auckland team, working with Medical Aid Abroad, secured nearly 200 boxes of critical medical supplies, including an anaesthesia unit and collected your generous donations. Communities in Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, and Christchurch have also been fundraising to support shipping and essential items.
Well done, everyone. Every donation — small or large — makes a huge difference.
Please keep going so we can send Container ELEVEN very soon!💙💛
Thank you for your immense support, Nelson! 💛💙
