Help get Zeb to Los Angeles to represent New Zealand in the North American Roller-hockey Championships 2024!
Hataitai, Wellington
I'm Zeb. I'm 17 years old. I will be climbing three volcanoes in a single weekend.
It has always been a dream of mine to represent New Zealand in the fast-paced sport that is inline hockey - an adrenaline-filled alternative to ice hockey, on roller-blades. I have been playing it since I was 7. It's a fantastic game. Over recent years I have become more and more dedicated to the sport, and this year my dream has come true - I have been selected to represent New Zealand for the first time, at the North American Rollerhockey Championships, in California in July. My aspiration is to represent New Zealand at the junior World Championships and beyond.
I spend over 12 hours each week doing hockey related training, alongside my schoolwork - I'm in my last year at high school. I also coach my local club's under-13 team and referee games at tournaments, giving back to the sport wherever I can.
I have been working as a dish washer at a local restaurant, and doing neighbourhood gardening. I will be putting all of my savings towards this competition.
To help raise money, I will be climbing three New Zealand volcanoes in a single weekend: Ruapehu, the highest volcano in New Zealand (2,797m), Ngauruhoe (2,291m), and Tongariro (1,978m). Out of respect for the sacredness (tapu) of these places to Maori, I will not stand on their summits.
Every donation helps get me one step closer to realising my dream.
Thank you for being a part of my journey and I look forward to sharing it with you all!
Funds are to be paid to my father Toby as I am under 18.
All money donated will be used to fund a feast at Mcdonalds.
For real though, every dollar donated contributes directly to tournament fees, flights and accommodation.
