Ainsley who is 11 was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia this year and her family needs your help
Waikato
On the 1 August 2017 the lives of Wayne Yvette and Ainsley aged 11 changed for ever .
Ainsley was diagnosed with Acute B lymphoblastic leukemia (cancer of the bone marrow )since then Ainsley has had 80 procedures.with many more to come .
As part of the leukemia Ainsley has IAMP21 which only affects 3% of children
Ainsley has chemo every Thursday aswell as lumber punctures and bone marrow aspirations. Ainsley is currently struggling with fractured vertebrae in her spin and has limited movement because of this .both her parents are with her which is taking a major toll on them financially.
Treatment for her is 2 years 6 months with chemo for at least 6 months .
They are having to travel from Taupo to Starship children's hospital weekly for Ainsley's treatment .
There are so many hidden costs that they have found.for example having to have everything extremely sterile hospital grade at home for Ainsley as she has no immune system . With Ainsley having chemo her taste buds are changing every time so they are having to buy what ever she is craving to get her to eat and also Having to have natural fiber blankets for her .
With all of this going on they still have the normal stock standard bills that still need paying .
There was absolutely no sign that Ainsley was sick so this has hit them all very hard.
I am involved because I am Ainsley oldest sister Wayne's oldest daughter .
Funds will be used to keep the family afloat pay for travel cost and anything that Ainsley needs. Donations will be paid to Yvette Morrison; Ainsley's Mum.
