My 6yr old son Albert Leavasa is undergoing treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since April 2016 at Starship Hospital in Auckland.
Auckland
This page is dedicated to my six year old son Albert, who was diagnosed earlier this year on the 17th of April 2016 diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, acommonly known as (ALL).
Albert is the youngest of my 2 children and has been at Starship Hospital since his first diagnosis in April.
Two months into our stay in hospital, we were told he had a very rare chromosome commonly known medically as a Philadelphia gene. The growth of this new rare chromosome meant that he would face some hard yards finding a marrow as the PH chromosome is commonly found in adult leukemia.
His immediate family (mum, dad and older brother) were all tested for DNA tissue typing to find a match for a marrow transplant, unfortunately non of us were near compatible.
A nervous wait for all the family until we found word two months ago, that he has finally found a bone marrow transplant donor on the worldwide Web that was compatible with his DNA tissue typing.
At current he has now started his first treatment into his bone marrow transplant which arrives into the country on the 17th of November.
Since his diagnosis in April I have been unable to create a page for young Albert given the intensity of our current situation.
I have been commuting with family and friends via Facebook on his journey and have been asked many times to create a page for funding just to proceed towards his medical journey and his immediate family...
I will have to keep this short but please feel free to donate accordingly and remember our baby in your prayers always.
With that said, we wish you nothing but love...'Team Albert', powered by mum and wired by his dad and his older brother...
This page was specifically designed for the benefit of Albert Onelei Leavasa. My six year old son who is currently undergoing his bone marrow treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia commonly known as (ALL), which is a type of cancer in the Bone and blood.
Every donation from our generous donors will proceed towards his medical needs such as travel, grocery shopping, his day to day needs and to assist his family while making day to day visits to the hospital to care for our Albert while he undergoes his cancer treatment.
Thankyou and God bless..xx
Albert is my son :(
