I have set up this page for my beautiful wife whom has terminal cancer, to help fund her dreams into reality
Waikato
Cilla Veldhuizen is a terminal cancer patient her story starts in 2011 when upon finding a small indent in her left breast was soon diagnosed with a breast cancer where a Tumor had progressed (stage 4 )itself further into 16 lymph nodes, all were successfully removed except two in her neck/collar bone. These last two were then radiated after Cilla had also done 9 months ac chemo , but to start off with she became nutrapedic due to a infection from a bottle they attach to you after surgery for a month or so.
Now this is common for all woman in cillas situation and why should she be deserving, well, all while during treatment even chemo this singing bay of plenty legend was rocking weddings all over New Zealand with her band Helmet in the Bush as well as the 18 yrs of pubs, clubs and functions. Singing her way from sky city and the famous to your mates best friends wedding that's how popular this girl is.
In 2015 she started suffering chest and shoulder back pain. A Tumor had established itself in her sternum bone and we have been told treatments gone from treatable to non treatable stage 4 cancer.
Friends and fans and I (her husband Jared) hope to raise some funds so that Cilla can live out some of her querky and strange final dreams and wishes example, sit in a paddock and play with a hundred pigs lol, watch an opera go to a rock concert, play in the snow, she sung at the chateau once but due to me being a dairy farm manager we can never stay long somewhere due to the cows needing to be milked. Which brings me the the most important Time because I'm always milking cows or driving and playing gigs as the guitarist we never have time to just do anything for us, I know Cilla will continue to get sicker and will need me by her side as we both want her at home and comfortable though she is determined to keep singing till they close the lid she reckons haha .
I am cillas husband
