Regine died in tragic circumstances giving birth to her daughter Hadassah. The nurses also thought that Hadassah would die so little attention was given to her during the first few hours of her life. Her birth weight and length were not recorded.
Now, a week later, she weighs 3.9kg and takes the bottle with no problems. She had her first vaccination on Friday 10th. For their part, Emmanuel and Carole and adjusting to being parents of a baby again and their other children love helping out with Hadassah.
Things have not gone as well for Dieudonnes wife Nadine. Her caesarean wound was not healing well so she underwent more surgury on the 9th. The next day she was released from hospital, not because she was feeling better but because the conditions were so bad. Patients were forced to sleep two to a bed and more and more sick women were being brought in to her room. Dieudonne will try to look atfer Nadine as well as he can at home.
