Our dear friend Helen, has Crohn's Disease, a debilitating and unpredictable illness. After feeling fairly stable for a long stretch of time, and not having a holiday for 5 years, and working hard to save up, she booked a ticket to see her adorable baby niece in Asia, and a ticket to visit friends in South America.
Unfortunately, just before her flight date, she came down with a gastro bug. The hospital team misdiagnosed the gastro bug as a Crohn's related illness and performed an unneeded surgery. Recovering in the hospital, Helen missed her flight to Asia, and may not be recovered in time for her South American flight in a few weeks.
Unfortunately she had not bought travel insurance in time. Your kind donation would help towards covering the hard earned money she has lost. Helen is such a sweet, generous, fun-loving person. With this emotional blow she really needs your help!

Helen is a dear friend. As long as I have known her she has dealt with her chronic illness with humour, strength, and positivity. She has been through so much in the last few years, and I hate to see her hard work fall through the cracks.
