Ross William Smith
Died 22 March 2017 Age 55.
Ross Smith spent most of his adult life helping others. Ross was a very generous man who was an incredibly practical person who could turn his hand to anything. Helping other people was his passion.
Ross has helped too many people to mention, but his time was constantly spent supporting the Kamo soccer club, Manaia rugby club, Parua Bay school and community events, and looking after his many friends’ home projects. He was a painter, builder, contractor, water blaster, handyman, joinery specialist, and any other application you could think of, he could do anything, and was always giving of his time in a voluntary capacity.
In his professional life he was always prompt, fair and provided an excellent service. His key motivator was not to make serious money, but to ensure his customers were left with smiles on their faces. Customer satisfaction was paramount.
Unfortunately Ross left this world on the 22 March 2017, way too soon. He has been survived by his beautiful family including his wife Helen and his 3 children Zoe, Tyson and Gina.
Ross was great at assisting with working bee’s for everyone else but unfortunately did not give his own property the attention it deserved. This page has been set up to allow all of the people who received the privilege of Ross’s services, support and friendship to help give something back, and allow Ross’s family to finally finish the bathroom, laundry, bedroom, fences and deck that all remain unfinished. Ross will not be back to get this work completed, let’s see what we can raise to make this happen for his family.
Your support is hugely appreciated.
I'm involved because I considered Ross one of my best friends. I always admired his tireless efforts to help others and respected his ability to always remain positive no matter what the circumstances. He loved his family dearly and would hate the thought of them not being looked after in his absence. I'm doing this to ensure that everyone who loved Ross has a vehicle to give something back to his family.
Funds will be used to finish the house renovations including the laundry, bathroom, bedroom, fences, deck, etc. Most of the projects got started but were never finished because he was too busy helping others.
