Help Georgie to cover surgery expenses for Joy

$190 of $3,000 goal
Given by 4 generous donors in 4 weeks

Georgia's lovely Greyhound - Joy - was badly injured last weekend on a walk. She has required urgent surgery which may cost up to $3,000.

Auckland

Georgie, the adopted mum of greyhounds Joy and Roman, wonderful founder of The Greyhound Collective Facebook page and dedicated GAP volunteer needs our help to pay for urgent surgery to repair a leg injury to Joy.

The surgery was completed this week and the bill is yet to be received. The total cost may be up to $3,000 and there is no insurance cover.

Georgie who has so generously given her time and energy to supporting greyhounds and their adopted families now needs our support. Georgie is not currently working or wealthy and most of the families' income goes straight out again to cover living expenses.

If each member of the collective were able to spare $5 or $10, this would go a huge way to covering the costs of this unfortunate accident.

I was on the walk when the accident occurred and helped to carry Joy a couple of kilometres back to the car park.

Have got to know Georgie through GAP and The Greyhound Collective and know that she would greatly appreciate some help but is unlikely to ask for it herself.
