On Monday the 8th of December 2014 I Katrina Smaling aged 36, was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Manawatu / Whanganui
On Monday the 8th of December 2014,
It was an incredibly windy day. I couldn't believe how strong the wind was.
I was biking to the money machine when i was blown off my bike and i landed on my shoulder.
An ambulance was called and when i got to the hospital i was told that i dislocated my shoulder, when x-rayed to see whether it was back in they discovered cancer in my breasts and blood clots in my lungs.
The cancer then traveled to to my left hip and ate through the bone leaving the bone to break therefore i needed to have a hip replacement. From there it traveled up to my brain and then entering my whole body.
Due to my illness i am unable to work. Hospital visits are a regular part of my life now. i find it very difficult to get around to where i need to be e.g appointments, family gatherings and general things i need to do like shopping.
Getting a motorized scooter means i can attend those appointments and general outings.
I suffer from terminal cancer. for those who do not know what terminal cancer is.... terminal cancer is a illness/disease that can not be cured. My partner has heart and lung problems, he is also unable to walk very far.
We have tried The Lotto Grant but it was unsuccessful, we have tried a handful of other places but they have all been unsuccessful too.
