Kim arrived in NZ to travel but instead was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma (a brain tumour). Can you help her get home and get well?

Kimberly (25yrs) arrived in NZ a few weeks ago to enjoy some travel with her brother and cousin. However dizziness and forgetfulness had her going to the doctor shortly after arriving. Sadly she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma (brain tumour)
Since being here she has spent all her time in Dunedin Public Hospital undergoing surgery and trying to recover enough to return home. Surgery has left her with right sided weakness and speech issues.
Yesterday she had a scan and has been given the all clear to travel home with her Mum and brother on the 29th August, so she can start treatment and start the journey towards fighting this tumour. This was wonderful news.
It has been advised however that Kim needs to travel home First Class (hopefully Business Class will be adequate) to make things easier for her.
There are also issues around her insurance and many many costs ahead for this lovely family. Can we show them New Zealanders care and want to help them in Kim's journey. Please do consider giving a little. Every little bit helps.
We were made aware of Kimberly's situation through our church and my daughter and others have been very involved in supporting her and her family with meals and additional support.

Home! 22 August 2017
Kim received the news last Tues (22nd) that she could head home to LA to begin treatment. You have never seen such a big smile and excitement. So arrangements were quickly made and Kim and the family flew out of Dunedin on Thursday afternoon.
Air NZ looked after Kim well and she arrived home to a large group welcoming her home. Kim then headed to hospital and has undergone more tests.
Please continue to encourage and pray for Kim. She is home which is fabulous but the hardest part of her journey is ahead.
