When it comes to money, education should not stop. Money is not a convincing reason that stops us from learning.

While I was walking to university last year a rocket fell around 200 meters away from me in the city of Damascus, I was injured in my stomach by a splint from the rocket, and after a month another rocket felt in our neighborhood that damaged our car.
Those are some of the reasons why me and my family left Syria and came to New Zealand. We didn't leave Syria because we wanted to, but we were forced to. Unfortunately I couldn't finish my first year at Damascus University studying Civil Engineering, and that is because of the terrible situation that the country was in, rockets falling everywhere, lack of electricity power, and transportation was so bad.
When I heard about the international fees at New Zealand I was disappointed, because we can't afford to pay this amount of money, and 40000 NZ Dollars that is the fees for a year at Canterbury University for international students, is approximately an engineer's salary annually, and that is sadly unaffordable.
I hope you can help me to continue on my studying career in New Zealand, and I would be so pleased.
Thank you.
