Family Desperate To Escape

Noone can change the world, but this is a great chance to help one family that lives in fear

These people are my friends. They are kind, hard working and good people. They are also desperate to escape the on going war in Afghanistan.

Mohammad, his wife, his 3 young sons (aged 4,6,8), their daughter (aged 2) and Mohammad's best friend Shirahmad are in need of financial assistance to be able to do this.

On October 4th, the Taliban attacked their home town Maimana, in the Faryab province, leaving many injured.

On October 19th the Taliban attacked Ghormach, a neighbouring province, killing at least 20 Afghan Police Officers.

Mohammad's father was a police commander, and because of this, 6 years ago, he was murdered by the Taliban. His family is at greater risk, because they are known as a police family, to the Taliban.

There is growing concern and fear that the Taliban will return to my friends town, to launch another assault in the near future.

Mohammad teaches English Literature at the local university and Shirahmad runs a shop selling vet and animal supplies. Both have a strong desire to further their knowledge in these fields, but in a safe environment.

They are sad they feel the need to leave their home country, but as things continue to escalate, they want their children to be sae and to grow up in a country that can offer them a safer and more secure place to get an education and the opportunity to live as normal children.

Please help my friends escape from a life of poverty and fear.

All money donated will be transferred to them through Pay Pal or Western Union and will go towards travel, airline tickets for 7 people, and towards setting up a new life.

Pending the sale of Mohammad's house, he is hoping to get $7,000, which will also help towards their new life.
