My 35-year-old daughter, who has three beautiful sons, has sadly died from a rare wood fungus growing in her lungs, heart and brain.
Wellington
My daughter Moreen was one of only a couple of people in the world to have this wood fungus, Schizophyllum commune, grow in her lungs, heart and brain. Last December, her specialist said she had only about six month to live. Sadly, she died on May 14. We are trying to raise money to help her boys, aged 4, 5 and 11, for their uncertain future.
There is a link in the updates on the newspaper story in The Dominion Post and Stuff website today - please read it :-)
I am her mother and want to raise money to support her three sons for their future.
Moreen's battle is over 17 May 2016
Sadly, my daughter Moreen lost her fight against this horrible infection on Saturday morning. On her last day, she expressed much gratitude for the generosity of everyone for this fundraiser for her three sons. It gave her much relief knowing that the community was rallying around to support them in this sad time. Thank you for all your kindness.
