Mary is 74 years old and has declared herself as bankruptcy due to being defrauded by a woman she believed to be her friend. Mary thought she was helping her friend out by putting a loan a under her name. This was under the impression she was helping a desperate friend. For those who know Mary will know that she is a survivor. She experienced a broken marriage which resulted in Mary being a single parent looking after two of her children as well as another three children who weren’t living at home but as a mother supported their needs. After her children became independently stable she then took on the role of caring for two you grandchildren at the age 58 after her daughter passed away. She worked 3 sometimes 4 jobs daily to support her grand kids in her care.

Then Mary was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer which seen her go through radiation and multiple operations. This has resulted in Mary having to have a Colostomy bag for life.

With that being said she is now 74 years old and has felt like she has had no option but to declare herself as bankruptcy due to a debt which does not rightfully or morally belong to her.

Mary does not own anything belonging to her and rents an apartment. She struggles from benefit to benefit. With what has happened we think she has had a rough deal and we are appealing to you, her friends to offer her support during this time.

Mary does not want to appear as charity case and feels ashamed but there is no shame in feeling vulnerable. She is a courageous woman and deserves for her mind to be put at ease and to live the rest of her life peacefully.
