Nepal Earthquake Relief

$2,050 donated
Given by 13 generous donors in 2 years

Please help our Nepalese friends, severely affected by the catastrophic earthquake of 25 April 2015, to rebuild their homes and lives.

Bay of Plenty

Some homes have been severely damaged and many are uninhabitable. They desperately need shelter, food, water, clothing, etc. Poverty prevents them from funding these needs themselves.

As of 16/06/15 $6,000 has been sent to help with immediate rebuilding or repairs and providing food, tents, medicine, etc. This has been possible because of generous donations paid direct to our Nepal Relief Fund as well as what has been donated on Givealittle.

All funding will be sent to Ganesh Poudel, East Nepal; James Tamang, Kathmandu: Nabin Darlami, Mid West: and Dinesh Chand, Pokhara - all are in Nepal.

We have visited these people, stayed in their homes and enjoyed their kind hospitality. Our desire is to help them rebuild their lives as soon as possible.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
