Phil Kerslake and his family are in need of financial support to cover their living expenses while he has extensive cancer treatments.
Wellington
Thank you for the amazing support we received in our previous Givealittle page in 2016. This page will help us during Phil's ongoing treatments in 2017.
For decades, Phil Kerslake has supported cancer patients and caregivers while coping with an incurable cancer - lymphoma, himself.
Through his patient support book 'Life, Happiness…& Cancer' as well as his broad other pro bono contributions, he has had a direct and positive effect on thousands of New Zealanders' lives.
However, after living with cancer since a teenager in 1979, Phil, 57, is now in the midst of his toughest battle yet. Phil has stage 4 cancer again, the disease having spread to his bones and liver as well as further throughout his body. In addition, large skin cancers have developed which will require multiple surgeries.
In order to make this extremely difficult time without income easier, we’re working to raise money so that Phil and his family (Wife Gilllian, Rhys age 9 and Matthew age 8) can pay their bills and living costs over the 2017 year ahead.
Thank you for your support. Your contribution will assist Phil, Gill, Rhys and Matthew to experience some of the peace of mind that Phil himself has given to so many as he continues to receive treatments during 2017.
Funds raised will be used to pay for all family living expenses while Phil is in treatment and eventually, recovery.
