Love and support for a beautiful family

  • Mason's update #2

      29 September 2016

Hi everyone just a short update

Mason is being transferred back to Tauranga hospital children's ward today he is going forward with leaps and bounds and surgeons are happy for Tauranga to take care of everyday needs until the hip spica comes off which is 3-4 weeks then back up here for his Rehab

He got to try yoghurt yesterday and cried when we had to stop but no holding him back now.

While we know that there are so many people that would love to visit him we ask that you respect the fact he needs lots of rest for his healing process and brain injury so if your wanting to visit at any stage please text or message me or Richard Easton first. ??

We are being transferred home via ambulance so I'm sure he'll enjoy the ride. ????

Just so happy to be moving that little bit closer to home.

Thanking you all for your continuing prayers, love and support through our journey xxxxxxx

    Hi family and friends,

An update on Mason or shall I say our Miracle ??????

This boy of ours is a real little fighter to think this time two weeks ago it was all very touch and go and to look at him today he is doing amazing moving his neck, both arms, legs, fingers, toes and we have even got him smiling again , surgeons and therapists are very proud of his recovery in such a short space of time

He needs lots of rest and sleep to help his brain injury , he graduated to his own room yesterday which means that we now have to be with him 24/7 Nanny Daph Easton is sleeping up with him tonight so I can get a good night sleep.

Jades down at the farm with Jonathan King and Kelly King playing with her cousins but has recovered well

And my hip is going to take time but just so glad to be with Mason

Richard Easton and I and our family would like to thank you all for your ongoing love, support, prayers, phone calls etc

We have a long road ahead but will get through with the love and support of friends and family

P.s if you have text or messaged me and I don't reply it's not that I'm

Snobbing you I'm busy and will try my best to reply

With love from us to you xxxxx

We would like to express our gratitude and love for the support we have received from family, friends, emergency services, nurses, doctors and people we have never met. From phone calls, prayers, visits, hugs, shared tears, food, vouchers and monetary donations we are truly overwhelmed. While we would love to be able to thank everyone individually there are so many people to thank so please accept this as our personal thanks.

Jade is out of hospital and has been hanging out with nanny and cousin Natalie and visiting me lots in hospital.

I am still in hospital hoping to be discharged this week and getting up to Auckland to be with Mason and Richard.

Mason is making lots of positive progress and is our super strong fighter of a boy.

We are looking forward to moving on as a family and could not have got this far without the support we have had. Please continue to pray for our family and our long journey ahead. Xo

    Shellz and Richard.
