Help Rita fight her Melanoma Battle

Those of us who know Rita, know her as an extremely healthy and active person, so it was a shock to us all when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer in May 2017, after receiving medical assistance following a fall. Rita's health deteriorated drastically within only a few weeks from diagnosis.

Rita was initially prescribed both Keytruda (funded) and Debrafinib (unfunded) and was responding well to these treatments. We started to see signs of our old Rita coming back.

Because of the positive results the Oncology Team took her off the Debrafinib. Unfortunately, Rita's symptoms began to return and it was decided that she would be restarted on the Debrafinib.

Rita and her husband Denis have to come up with a whopping $9,000.00 per month to pay for Debrafinib. During this difficult time, Rita has not been able to work, so as you can imagine, this has become quite a financial burden.

Rita and Denis would appreciate any assistance to help fund this drug, no matter how big or small.
