Im raising money to help my Auntie & Cousin in their time of grief as my Uncle recently passed away from heart damage at the young age of 55
Waikato
Dear Whanau & Friends & those whom have taken the time to read this
My cause page was initially set up to help my Uncle and Aunt with his care on leaving the Tokoroa Hospital and for any costs that arose but unfortunately with deepest sadness my Uncle passed away on the 24th April. Uncles tangi was held in Rotorua on the 27th at the Tarukenga Marae. and he gave us all a drenching as it poured with rain..he was having the last laugh ;)
I am still fundraising now to help my Auntie with expenses that she now has to deal with on her own (they purchased a new car so lets help get that paid) and just general living expenses now until she can get full time work or at least an income coming in...I wouldnt wish this heart ache on anyone. ( I have left my original story below if anyone still wishes to read it)**
Please help me in raising money for our much loved Uncle Migo aka Douglas Peni, Dougie, Doug, Tokoroa Bushman....
As most of you are aware our loving, caring, funny, always laughing and smiling smart ass Uncle Migo / friend has been unwell for over a year now. Over the past several months he has been in and out of hospital with the likes of an upset stomach, not being able to eat (he loves seafood), and so on, just genuinely unwell. Uncle has lost a lot of weight from his illness and he has had numerous visits to the doctor and hospital for tests etc.
We had a great time with family at the NRL 9s' although Uncle wasn't to well then either and recent Warriors games..( I think we turned Uncle into a Warriors fan heheehe)
Sadly on Saturday of Easter weekend he had a cardiac arrest and was flown to Waikato hospital from Tokoroa hospital, he was in ICU care and was monitored and had more tests done. Uncle was then transferred back to Tokoroa hospital on Thursday 9th and is now in Palliative care where he is being cared for and made as comfortable as can be.
He has had many visitors coming and going to share stories and memories and just have a good ole laugh. I, along with my family and the wider Peni whanau, have been visiting him in hospital since and will continue to do so as long as he is with us..for those of you whom are reading this and don't know, Uncle Migo is my Dad's younger brother. It breaks my heart to say this but Uncle is terminal (he is only 55yrs) so if you can visit and share a story or two or for a quiet sing song then by all means please do so.
I started this page because I felt a need to help my Auntie Liz & Cousin David with any expenses they may incur with Uncles care from petrol costs to maybe having to renovate their bathroom/shower/ramp access for wheelchair if he goes home, care costs, or any other expense that may arise over the next few weeks or months.
so please help me to help them
Thank you for your support
Michelle

My sole purpose for this cause page is now because I want to help support my Auntie Liz & Cousin David so they don't have to deal with financial strain
