I am part of the New Zealand U17 development cycling team that is travelling to New Caledonia this July, please help me get there!
Manawatu / Whanganui
Hi, my name is Dylan Simpson and I am a year 10 student at Palmerston North Boys High.
I have recently been selected to race in New Caledonia representing the New Zealand u17 development cycling team,This is a very new and exciting experience for me! which will hopefully be the first overseas trip with many to come!
My passion is cycling and I have been competing since I was 10 years old. I compete in Road cycling, track cycling and mountain biking which gives me a lot of opportunities to race all over the country.
Living in the Manawatu area gives me excellent facilities to train due to having many hills surrounding me. There is also great adult support in the area which provides us with many great events all over the region. This has really helped me improve as a cyclist.
The sport of cycling gives me great opportunities to meet people all over New Zealand and see new places and I have been given the chance to see a new area and meet new people only this time it is not in New Zealand!
So far in cycling I have competed in many junior tours and raced many different people. I have reached my first goal of going to race overseas representing a NZ team.
I know that I will be riding hard and competing to the best of my abilities thanks to my coach Brett Tivers!
