HELP FAMILY BUILD A FOREVER HOME!
Wellington
My family and I were accepted to move to New Zealand in 1991 from a Thailand refugee camp. My mother’s siblings remained in Laos and her younger sister fled the country and currently lives on the boarder of Thailand and Laos.
My aunty & cousins have recently lost their husband, father in a car accident. They have next to nothing and have always made it work as a family. My family and I have tried to sponsor our family to make a fresh start and relocate to New Zealand, unfortunately this did not happen.
They are currently living in a small brick house in scorching temperatures. My two cousins are both in the monastery, so they can be cared for and be able to have some sort of education as my aunty cannot provide the necessities the boys need now. The two youngest boys live at home with mum. Their youngest brother’s health is not the greatest. He has not been properly diagnosed, but on my visit there three years ago my heart broke. He is as light as a feather, cannot walk, talk or feed himself, but he is a happy dude, which gives this family hope!
I am hoping to head over to Thailand to help with rebuilding their home.
As we cannot do this on our own we would appreciate the donations from others. I believe that a new home would be a great start to rebuilding their lives back. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
