Aavya had a hypoxic brain injury
Canterbury
Aavya had a hypoxic brain injury during her treatment last year August while she was 16 months old.
I am Aavya's mother. Aavya is our 29 months old wee girl she had a brain injury while her treatment when she was 16 months old....we need financial help to apply for our visa renewal in order to stay in nz Aavya cannot get the help she needs if we have to leave New Zealand. She currently receives therapy on a weekly basis and equipment to help her sit, stand and learn to play. Before her treatment injury, Aavya was a normal little girl who was running around, learning to talk and a bright bubbly wee girl. Now she is unable to sit without help, cannot talk and cannot eat. We are devastated at what has happened to our girl and desperate to stay in New Zealand so she can continue to get help.
We need to apply for a long term visa in order to Stay in New Zealand which is very expensive- we estimate it will cost us around $2500 as we each have to have full medical examinations which will cost around $500 for each of us, and are also required to apply for a police check in Fiji, which costs $100 per person. Also we have to apply for Aavya's and her little sisters Fiji citizenship and passport which will cost approximately $500 for each of them.
We are very lucky that aavyas dad have work in New Zealand, and have sponsorship from his boss, who has been extremely supportive of our family since Aavya’s injury.
We are struggling to come up with the costs associated with the visa application and have tried getting a loan from the bank- but this is not possible without a visa.
Funds will be used to apply for a long term visa to stay in nz....
Thanks a lot
