Young New Zealand Woman suffers burns from Port Lincoln car fire in Adelaide South of Australia
Bay of Plenty
On Saturday the 4th of February, just after 9pm my baby sister Charlie (Charlene) Kururangi suffered burns to her arms and her legs when the car she was in was set on fire. The events that occurred were horrific enough but now the healing process is beginning and she needs our help.
She is a native of Aoteroa (New Zealand) and because of that is not eligible for any type of government assistance to help her back on her feet.
With only a few family members in Adelaide, we are trying all we can to help get her back on her feet but feel she could benefit from the assistants and kindness of the public.
Charlie is now in a position where she needs all the help she can get. She is now 7 hours away from any type of belongings she once had and has no type of ID to get her back home let alone clothing and the necessities a young girl needs to live her day to day life.
We are not asking for a lot, just enough to cover any expenses she might have once she is released from Hospital. Going forth she is going to need a passport, a new copy of her license and a copy of her birth certificate. She will also need everything from clothing to shoes etc as most of her belongings were destroyed in the vehicle as she was travelling South Australia at the time.
She is also going to need a lot of help with medical bills and medication cost given that she is not an Australian citizen and does not have a Medicare card.
Anything at all that you might be able to give will be appreciated more then you know and may just restore her faith in the human kind. Here is the article of the events that took place.
