Teenager seriously injured after falling off his bike on the Hibiscus Coast on Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday Harrison went out for a bike ride around Hatfields Beach and was involved in a serious accident which resulted in him being airlifted to Hospital by Rescue Helicopter. Little information is known of how this happened, but he was found on the road in critical condition.
Harrison suffered a severe head injury and is left with lots of extensive wounds to heal, which are now healing but they will take time. We are so happy to say that he has now regained consciousness, and has started on the journey to recovery, but its going to be a long journey and we still aren't certain of the full extent of his injuries, this will be found out over the year. For now he has to relearn how to walk and talk, and all the other things that we often take for granted everyday.
Haz is going to need all the support his family can give him during this time, so friends of Harrison and his family have set this page up so all energy can go into being by his side during his recovery.
Please continue to check in on the updates section on this page.
Thank you in advance for the support towards this very deserving young man and his lovely family.
A note from Harrison's Mum and Sister:
We just want to say an enormous thank you to everyone for all the words of support and generous offerings. We are astounded and heartened by people's kindness and generosity.
We are currently unsure what costs will be covered by ACC, but if they do cover medical costs the funds raised will go towards supporting the family throughout Harrison's recovery.
