Jane is back home! She is doing great. The next 6 weeks involves LOTS of resting!! xx
Jane has had a wonderful night since you all heard my plea for prayers. She has slept peacefully and is still sleeping now. The task for now is keeping that blood pressure down. When the blood pressure is lowered then the pain lessens and Jane can sleep. Today is sleep day and brain healing day.
Jane has spent a wakeful night in the High Dependency Unit Waikato hospital. She is experiencing a lot of pain this morning. Prayers during this phase would be appreciated. I passed on our thanks to the surgical team this morning. This is the biggest AVM they have seen and their pleasure And pride of their work was obvious. Jane is in excellent hands.
Next stage - 3 days lying flat on her back, drain still in draining excess blood from her head. More blood transfusions this afternoon. Maybe home in a week to 10 days with at least 6 weeks rest.
This is an update from Jane's Mum 25/03/15
Breaking News from Waikato Hospital. Jane Frances Cavanagh-Pryor has successfully pulled through the biggest event of her life. The surgeon was thrilled with the success of the operation. The AVM has been completely removed and Jane is all good. The first words out of her mouth were 'I'm not dead' to the amusement of the surgical team. Go Jane you rock!!!!!!!!!!
