Please help Krystal and family after kidney transplant

$1,235 donated
Given by 18 generous donors in one year

Krystal has had kidney disease since the age of 14 , the miracle call came on bathurst racing night that she had a kidney waiting.

Auckland

Krystal was diagnosed at the age of 14 with kidney disease, now aged 33 a wife & mum of 3 boys, the call they had been waiting for came while we were watching the last part of bathurst. Wow it was emotional but they had to leave straight away to get to the hospital.

The following morning Krystal was taken into surgery and had a succesful transplant. A miracle perfect 1 in a million deceased donor kidney. A second chance at life. After spending some time recovering in hospital Krystal was able to come home which had to be completely sterile as she now has no immunity.

Shortly after returning home Krystal had to rushed back to hospital with complications / bleed and pain . Now home after a horrible 10 days Krystal needs to be at 7.30 every morning at Auckland hospital for bloods & Dr visits for a month, then 3 times per week for the next month at north shore hospital, then 2 times per week the following month, then once a month for the rest of her life. Through this Krystal had to quite her job in a GPs office as she cannot be face to face with sick people.

The first year is a dangerzone for rejection so needs to be really careful, they will need some home help as Allister has had to return to work after 2 weeks off due to financial stress on one income. So if anyone is able to donate however small all helps to give this amazing family who does so much for others a bit less stress that would be such a great help.

All donations will go toward travel expenses and loss of income due to Krystal being unable to work to help keep the financial stress away and allow time to heal without having to worry about paying the bills on one income.

Thankyou

I am a close friend of Krystal and just want to help ease the financial pressure over this time while she recovers from her transplant and so Allister can be there for her & there 3 sons as much as possible through this process
