Lucy needs knee surgery to help her walk again and give her a quality of life
Manawatu / Whanganui
Lucy is a 11 year old Bichon who is absolutely loving and caring animal.
Twelve days ago Lucy was her usual happy self and then unfortunately suffered from a nasty trauma which left her left back leg un un useable.
Since then she has had to go to the vet 4 times for pain relief, X rays and investigations. The vet has said that Lucy's left knee is flopping around inside and hitting a ridge in her leg which happens to be causing her a lot of pain.
She needs knee surgery to stitch her knee back into place so that she can then move more freely around instead of hobbling.
Lucy was also unfortunate to lose her left eye in a vicious dog attack in December 2015.
Lucy is my lovely, loyal companion who I would love to see well and healthy again enjoying a quality of life once again.
It is extremely challenging to come up with the money required being a Beneficiary.
I'm involved in this cause because Lucy can not talk and letting people know about her situation and so that she can gain a quality of life once again.
Lucy's home now 4 August 2016
Lucy came home mid afternoon today, Yay!!! shes doing well. She's now sleeping in a nylon and mesh playpen to make sure she doesn't injure her leg any further. She greeted me at the vets with enthusiasm and much more happier.
Lucy unfortunately got an infection in her leg and is now on Antibiotics to clear it up.
Thank you for all your kindness and various support.
