Hi Juliet,
we have also had pugs and pekes and currently have another we rescued with a blind eye that has taken Frankie under her wing and the have become great friends. She has 2 acres of room to play on when she gets well as we rescue a lot of other animals. i really appreciate your offer as you sound like a wonderful person, there is a terrific organisation called NZ Pug Rescue that may have the right pug for your parents :)
